Listening.Integrity.Action.

Nicolas is running to offer Ward 1 an approachable councillor who listens carefully, prepares thoroughly and keeps the focus on practical municipal responsibilities.
His campaign is about responsible choices, clear communication and respectful public service—without partisan labels or promises that a single councillor cannot make alone.
Start with residents’ experience and ask clear questions.
Be honest about trade-offs, limits and reasons for a decision.
Prepare, participate constructively and follow up.
Nicolas lives in Tavistock with his family. He is an Ontario public servant and currently works as an Enforcement Officer with Court Services. He previously worked as a Compliance Inspector with Consumer Protection Ontario.
He is bringing that public-service perspective to a nonpartisan campaign focused on careful preparation, fair process, clear communication and respect for the people municipal government serves.
Six areas where thoughtful municipal decisions can protect value, strengthen community life and support a vibrant Tavistock.
Township spending choices should be reviewed carefully, explained clearly and considered alongside long-term maintenance needs. Nicolas supports practical decisions that respect taxpayers and focus on lasting community value.
Residents, farms and local businesses depend on reliable municipal infrastructure. Council decisions should consider safety, upkeep, long-term planning and the Township’s capacity to deliver essential work responsibly.
Agriculture and local enterprise are central to the community. Municipal decisions should reflect practical input from farmers and business owners and consider how Township processes affect their day-to-day work.
Growth decisions should weigh housing and opportunity together with farmland protection, infrastructure capacity and the character of the community. The trade-offs should be visible and discussed openly.
Residents should be able to understand how decisions are made, receive clear answers and raise concerns respectfully. Nicolas supports an approachable municipal government that communicates plainly and follows up.
Nicolas would advocate for practical ways to attract and support more businesses in downtown Tavistock and for more activities that help youth and seniors take part in community life. He would listen to residents and work with local businesses, community groups and the Township on practical next steps.
Municipal service works best when representatives listen, do the homework and explain both the decision and the trade-offs behind it.
